Don't guess the correct word.
A word is sunk in the quagmire. You are not looking for it — you are staying off it for as long as you can.
Type any real five-letter word and press enter. Each letter shows what it touched:
When a letter SINKS it locks into that tile for the rest of the round. A letter that is PARTLY SUNK must appear in every later word, never again where it failed.
Survive longer and each word pays more — far more once letters are sunk. Guess the word and you go under: your unsunk streak resets. Bank before that and it grows. The bank is always open, right up to the last step.
The highest unsunk score — the most a player has banked across one unbroken run, before finally guessing the answer.
You score by surviving — typing real five-letter words that avoid the hidden answer. Each word you survive pays points; the longer you last, the more each one is worth.
Score is the total you bank across an unbroken run of games. Keep banking and it grows; guess the answer and the run ends.
Turns is how many words you survived to reach that score — a measure of how you got there, not just how high.
Multipliers: the more letters that are SUNK (locked in the right place), the more each surviving word pays — up to 5× at four sunk letters. The deeper you go, the bigger the reward, and the bigger the fall if you slip.
